"The Aurora Fossil Museum has a wide variety of exhibits, ranging from a Pleistocene Age mastodon tusk to casts of an associated set of Parotodus benedini shark's teeth which were  found in the local area. North Carolina's fossil invertebrates are represented by an extensive collection of shells, including the extremely rare Fasciolaria sparrowi

The Video Room is a mine replica where visitors sit 100 feet underground to learn about the paleontology and geology of our state."
